The carpet is the decorative element that delimits a space and at the same time unites the furniture together in a sense. For this very reason it is important to choose the dimension that will highlight a space.
Below we share options on how to place your rug depending on your space.
The rug / carpet you will choose should, ideally, be good to cover the area of the sofas and the coffee table, as symmetrically as possible.
More generally, if the living room area is large, choose a larger rug to give the feeling of greater comfort in the space.
With this option, we give the impression that there is a continuation of the carpet under the furniture since we do not visually see the end of the carpet, which gives us the feeling of a larger space.
Except in exceptional cases, we do not recommend that the end of your carpet can be seen around the perimeter of your central coffee table because it gives the feeling of a smaller space.
The ideal size of the carpet depends on the size of the room and the arrangement of the furniture.
The rug should cover your dining table and chairs. Additionally, it should end roughly so that when a guest is seated in the chair it remains within the surface of the carpet.
So, pull out the chairs and measure the surface you need before visiting our store for your purchase.
Interior tip
If the dining and living rooms are within the same space then the carpets should match in style, color, and design.
FIRST OPTION
You may place 3 long narrow rugs on each side of the bed: on the 2 sides where the bedside tables end and also in front of the bed.
Alternatively, for the same effect but with the option of not showing the end of the carpet and making the space visually larger, you can put 1 whole large carpet, which you will place with the same logic as the image below, calculating that you should protrudes around the bed at least 50cm on each side.
Our staff will be happy to help you choose the right carpet when you visit one of our shops.
